When they say no-frills on this pack, they mean it; but that's fine because this is a pack to consider when you're paring away extra weight. This pack, at 2000 cu. in., is ample enough to carry ultralite gear suitable for 1 week, three seasons. The padding in the hip belt is nonexistent, but with smart loading, you won't be carrying too much weight anyway. The 1000 denier fabric is tough enough. The only aspect of this pack that you need to be aware of is that the lack of compression straps allows the pack (if fully loaded) to hang back and away from your body. This is bad. Again, though, with a properly light load, you should be fine. The designers have thoughtfully included a sweat channel in the cushy rear panel padding. On hot days, little touches like this make a world of difference. The 3D netting, like on all packs, will saturate with sweat easily. The water bladder pocket is enormous and properly sheilded from the rest of the pack. All in all, a superior design for the liteweight enthusiast, excepting the balance at times. A very comfortable pack. Customer Service Never had to use it. |
