Awsome pack!! I have been using packs for the past 30 years and wish I used a McHale pack right from the start. I am not a mountain climber but an outdoorsman that guides city people on backwoods hunting and fishing trips, mainly day trips. Invariably, I get to carrying their extra "necessities" that they can't carry any more, plus first-aid kits, extra food and all the stuff that city people didn't remember or thought thay needed. Customer Service No experience with Dan's service other than ordering the pack. Dan is great to deal with and very opiniated. When I called Dan several weeks after getting and using my pack, he was concerned at first that I wasn't happy!! He was trying everything to make me happy! Pretty funny after he finally realized that I wasn't complaining but praising him and the pack!!! Similar Products Used: Dana M-80 (worst pack I have ever owned. |

I have three Dan McHale Packs! That alone should tell you enough. When I called Dan for my third pack I could tell he thought I was crazy. The Zero Sarc is a wonderful pack for day hikes and over nighters. I often guide newbies on day hikes and I am the one that carries the extra water, first aid gear, and invariably someone elses gear on the way out! The Zero Sarc has never been anything but a blessing in the forrest of Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia. It truely feel like about half the weight I am carrying. When I go rock hopping it moves with my body and never causes a false step. If you want to mountaineer, day hike, over night, take the Zero Sarc! It is worth the money. Customer Service Never a problem. Dan is always great. Similar Products Used: Osprey, Dana, Gregory, Vortex |
