I bought this tent as a cosmetic second directly from ALPS in 2000. It's been a great tent for the money. Sets up quickly and kept us dry during an all night thunderstorm in Arkansas. I like the double doors and vestibules. Keeps you from climbing over each other when getting in and out and lets you keep your gear close at hand. My only complaint is there are no vents other than the windows in the doors. A top vent for circulation would be nice. Customer Service Haven't needed any |

I purchased the new 2002 model earlier this year direct from ALPS Mountaineering in New Haven, Mo. The 2002 model now has the nylon rain fly as opposed to the polyester rainfly the older models came with. Not a bad tent to say the least. Very waterproof. Kept us dry during thunderstorms on our backpacking trips in PA. Customer Service very good, quick and helpful Similar Products Used: Diamondbrand Free Spirit 2 |

None I bought this tent for its ease of setup. The third time it was set up, one of the inserts came unglued and slid into the pole. This meant that the tent could not be erected until the insert was retrieved from inside the tent pole which proved to be impossible. Check on this with the dealer before you purchase one Similar Products Used: None |
