I picked this tent up at Target on clearance a few years back. I have used it a lot. It is rated for two, and large enough, but I am tall and like to use it alone. It has proven very water proof. One summer on the shore of Superior we were camped on a sandy area and were caught in a terrific downpour. The sand became a lake under our tents. The floor of the tent felt like a waterbed. But all the water stayed outside.I would highly recommend this tent but only for Fall and Spring as it is too hot in high temperature months.

The Aries tent did well in my book. The first time i used it was in 2000 on a trip to Mammoth mtn. the only problem was i woke up and the it was wet everywhere from condensation. If this is normal ok but i dont know?? The last trip was to pyramid lake and it did great in the wind no condensation set up is very quick, very light overall i think its a great setup for a person whos into a tent for sleeping and not hanging out in ..

Good all around basic backpackers tent. Used mine on a lot of backpacking trips in Michigan and rafting trips in West Virginia. Good placement in strong winds and rain is key to making this tent's rainfly work well. I have used it in some pretty tough spots on Lake Superior and it performed great.

I have taken this tent on many trips and it has held up very well. It is very easy to set up, usually taking only about 5 minutes. Even though it is listed as a two man tent, it will hold three normal sized people. Good value for the money (even at full price). Minor drawback is that the stakes seem to bend in hard ground.

I bought this tent on sale about four years ago, and have been very pleased with it, overall. For the price and the weight, this tent is very hard to beat. The tent takes little space in a pack, is a good size for two adults, and handles water well when placed on a tarp.

The tent worked fine camping under a plapa in Mexico for the season. I did noticed condensation camping in humid places. I really like the awnings but they tend to catch the wind. The tent also gives privacy and ventilation at the same time because of the awings. The front zipper did wear out after about three months of daily use and I put a new one in.

Customer Service

Didn''t try them because the tent is so inexpensive.

Purchased this tent nearly two years ago and hit has seen quite a bit of use, including a recent rafting trip down the San Juan River. Did well in moderate rain and wind. Color is charcoal grey...tent tends to be a bit on the hot side here in Arizona. On clear nights, ditch the rain fly for much better air flow. I have my concerns about the sitching in the 4 corners...many small holes which could allow water in during a heavy rain. Seam seal would resolve that. Factory stakes are garbage (most are)...ditch 'em and buy good ones. If a vestible option is available, I would consider it...not much additional storage room.

Overall, very pleased with this tent. Reasonably sized, good shelter, excellent lightweight aluminum poles, packs small and very lightweight at a bit over 5 lbs.

Would recommend highly, especially for price conscious backpackers not want to pay for a premium level tent.

Price to weight / performance Peak-1 has the advantage in my opinion.

Just finished a week long supported bicycle tour across Oklahoma. In addition to being very easy to set up and take down the tent kept me and my equipment dry during an intense series if thunderstorms. Am vey pleased with the design and features. Roomy yet packs down to 17" and fits in a bike pannier. Highly recommended for bike touring or backpacking.

Customer Service

Before my trip the rainfly developed a small rip at a seam. made one call to Coleman in Wichita, KS. The lady there was very nice and they sent me a new rainfly immediately at no cost.
Great tent, great customer service!
