Excellent tent for 80 bucks! It's light, packs up small enough to fit in my pack, and sets up quick and easy. I'm 6'1 and 220 pounds and I fit with enough room for a close friend; but it is a tight fit. I love this tent. Coleman has never let me down and I am sure this tent will last me for many years.

Customer Service

None needed, but I trust coleman.

This is a great, light-weight tent. It packs very small and is great for biking trips. It is a bit small for two people. I have used it with my wife and it is OK if being cosy doesn''t bother you. The 2 doors and ventilation are great. The tent needs a second pole at the foot to avoid leakage when foot accidently hits tent. I have survived many down-pours completely dry. Nice vestibule areas to hold some gear.

Customer Service

Contacted Coleman about a footprint, but none available. I made one out of a piece of thin plastic and it works great.

I love this tent! Yeah, it''s a bit of a stretch to call it a 2-person tent, but I''ve used it for 2 very comfortably on several occasions. Ventilation is great. The fly wraps things up tight in bad weather. I once waited out a 3-hour thunderstorm with drenching rain and stayed warm and dry inside. I almost hope it happens again this year. It has a small footprint, which means it''s easy to find a spot to set up even in dense vegitation. It''s easy and quick to set up so you can spend more time doing the fun stuff. It packs up small enough to fit inside a pack or can easily be attached to the outside. And it weighs only 4 lbs. I could go on and on but I think I''ve made my point. I highly recommend this tent even over more expensive alternatives and would buy it again myself.

I use mine for backpacking and paddling. I''ve used it upwards of 9 nites in the last 6 months and I love it. Not quite big enuff for two. The only prob is that you can get wet on the feet from condensation. Mines weathered a good thunderstorm and even does well on cold winter nights. I had a grommet come loose and the store gave me a grommet repair kit. I''m gonna contact coleman and see if they''ll send me the original grommet. The store said I could get a new tent but I didn''t feel like driving an hour and a half to trade them.

I really like my Cobra 2. I'm not sure if there is a different model for the UK though. My Cobra 2 has a second much smaller pole at the foot end of the tent which makes a sort of box arrangement and keeps the tent off your feet. That works really well. I'm 5' 10" and fit in there just fine along side my 8 year old boy. The only problem I have really is trying to pull a shirt on or something. The wedge shape of the tent means that I inevitably end up pressing my back against the sloping top of the tent and end up with condensation on the inner tent mesh. I should probably just be more careful. I slept out in the Cobra in a three seasons bag and clocked the temperature at -5c. There was ice on the tent in the morning but I was't cold inside. The Cobra is pretty light and compact and is easy to put up and pack away. Definitely a good buy. I paid 90 UK pounds which I think is about $130.

Customer Service

I asked Coleman to send me a tent repair kit, for the Cobra 2, which was promised by the company I bought the tent from but which didn't arrive with the tent (and the company didn't want to know once they had my money... buying on the Internet!). Coleman were brilliant. They sent me the kit the next day without any hassle or request for proof of purchase. Ecellent service.

As is ususally the case, the 2-person rating on this tent is pretty optimistic. I don't know which two people they had in mind, but it wouldn't be anyone that i know. Still, for myself, being 6'1", and around 280lbs., it has worked out well as a solo shelter. Easy to set up, weather worthy, light to carry, and the dual vestibules provide adequate gear storage. Good ventilation in warm weather, and decent shelter from cold and damp with the full coverage fly. Not a bad deal at all. In face, i liked it so much that i bought a used Coleman Mountaineer Series tent for my son. (the Mountaineer is the Cobra's predecessor; they're virtually identical)

I've used this tent 3x's.Twice at 10,000
feet and on the Whitney trail(2 nites at
Trail camp)This tent is great if you are under 5.8 and by yourself.I'm 6 feet
and my wife is 4.11,we were a little cramped and my bag got wet where my feet rubbed the top of the tent.Without
the fly it sets up in about 3min(1pole-4 stakes)with fly and 5 more stakes-5min.It's great in summer all ventalation. We got rained on once and were dry all nite.A plus is it has two doors so you don't climb over each other. The vestibule will hold a pack on each side which is nice you can open the door and retrieve something out of your pack and never get out of the bag. It comes with small mesh organizer hang across the top. When most tents this size cost about $200 and up this a great tent for around $100 and at only 3lbs.total, split it up and you carry only 1.5 lbs each,it's killer. This tent is now my wife's personal palace-I've bought a Mountain hardwear Thru hiker for myself-so much for cuddling!
