tent has served me well so far. main reasons for buying it were the weight, previous quality of eureka tents, and price($70). so far, in my only use, it did it's job perfectly. the only thing i noticed that could detract from it are its high profile, which can cause issues in windy conditions. outside of this, it is fine......

I bought the Apex last year for a weekend camp out. On the way up it poured out for hours, so when we got to camp the place was a mud pit. We ended up setting the apex up on the back of a flat bed pickup. It worked fine in the pouring rain, the gear we did keep in the tent stayed perfectly dry and we slept fine. The next morning we were abruply woken by the campsite owners, telling us we had to get to cover because of a tornado warning. Well, alot happened in 5 minutes, we ended up flying down the road to a nearby farmhouse where the owners lived, with the apex still strapped on the truck! We drove about 75MPH to the farmhouse and the tent had only minor damage, a cracked pole and and a small rip on the netting. The tent did collapse inward but sprung back up at around 30MPH. After all that, and another 2 hours in pouring rain and hail, the only water in the tent was a small puddle because the zipper on the door was open about 1/2 inch. We figured that the water was hammered in from the cruise over. So i guess it's a helluva good tent for what it went threw, we used it the rest of the weekend without any problems.

none, however the apex fly seems like it would make a good parachute as well.

This is a great tent for the money. I bought it for about $70 bucks and I really like it. It is a little tight for two but it gets the job done. I took it out with me once before I sealed the seams/water-proofed. I sealed them up and water-proofed the tent at the camp site. It *really* stormed that night. The next morning I woke up completely dry. There were 5 tents set up at the site we stayed at and this was the only one that didn't leak. In some of the tents the water had actually pooled up inside. The only issue was the rainfly. There aren't enough guy-outs. Additionally, it has a pole in it which gives the tent kind of a high profiie. This makes it kind of uncomfortable in high winds. All in all, a good tent.

Customer Service

I have never really dealt with the company directly. Nothing has gone wrong with the tent yet, which is a good sign I guess.
