We've had this tent for 6 years. It is a great tent for our family of 5. Easy set-up. Great head room and venting. We've had it in gail winds without any stability or waterproofing problems. GREAT TENT. Similar Products Used: None |

Although I am a minimalist on the trail, I have to say when car camping with the family everything goes. This includes a large tent...and after shopping around through all the tent manufactuers I decided on the Equinox as the best design and best quality for the $. This tent has not dissapointed me in the least....I can tell you from experience that a wet family is a miserable family and to that end you better have a tent that keeps them dry if a storm should happen to blow in. This tent is waterproof, spacious (you can put two quenn size air mattresses in it), easy to assemble, has gobs of ventilation, is made from quality materials, I cant say enough about it. If you are seriously considering a six person tent, look no further. I did get mine for under $300 which puts the value rating at 5 stars. Customer Service I own three Eureka (one North Face and one Mountain Hardware) tents and have dealt with the Eureka customer service dept, what a pleasure they are to deal with......five stars. Similar Products Used: Friends have bought similar tents, they dont seem to hold up nearly as well as the Eureka. |

Excellent product! I sold my brother my Willow Creek 12 to buy this tent. It's roofline is lower than my previous tent but I think that bothers the wife more than me! I did have one problem with it. I put it away wet(in a rainstorm) last time out and a catepillar ate a hole right through the roof near the apex. Try getting repair tape to match!!! Customer Service I used to work for the camping department at Ramsey Outdoor Suppliers in Paramus, N.J. and can say with impunity that Eureka's return/repair policy is one of the best in the business! This tent proved to be very user friendly and provided sufficient room for our latest outting at the Sea Otter. I also found that it stood up well to the winds and that upon breaking it down it easily packed up into its carrying case. Which for other tents I've owned has been a pain. The tent is roomy, lightweight and easy to assemble. The fly give adequate protection. We looked at many other tents before making our selection but this was the best choice. It is a little expensive compared to other tents but for our upcoming 3 month camping adventure it will be well worth the extra $$$. Similar Products Used: None |

I have owned 3 Euraka tents over the last 16 years. All have been high quality, well constructed and whilst not cheap, very good values. This tent has survived gale force winds beach camping. Others packed it in from the wet, and colapsed tents, we slept through it, with only a slight bend near the spider ( very strong gale ;-)) Similar Products Used: None |

I bought this tent last spring, love it! roomy ,sturdy and great for a 2 year old to run around in when the weather is bad. rained for two days this summer in the adirondacks, dry as a bone, and it poured.Plenty of room for gear and a family, the wife likes that she does not have to bend down to get in it! This is a great tent for family style camping. Easy to erect, roomy, the opt. vestibule is handy. seems to be sturdy in wind. Similar Products Used: This is the 2'nd Eureka tent I have owned. The first was a backpack tent that I also liked. I lost it in the backcountry of West virginia though, about 22 years ago, if anyone should find it;-) |
