The 3 segment shock corded poles ("brim rods") that cover the front and rear brow have broken twice when installing them. I followed the instructions carefully but even with great care and caution the bending stress is too great and they snap at the ferrule. The first pole was replaced when I called customer service and a 5 segment repacement was sent immediately. When the second 3 segment pole broke they agreed to honor the warranty only after I sent the broken part back to them. The shipping was more than a repair kit from an outdoor store so I elected to fix it myself. There is an obvious problem with the 3 segment pole ad they ought to replace them with the 5 segment alternates without making one jump through hoops. Ergo the single star. |

We used the Tetragon 10 on a BWCAW trip last fall. This was the first time I had ever used this type of test by Eureka!. When going up into the Boundary waters I'm so used to going with out many exorbitant items. I was very impressed with it’s moderate weight, the quick setup, and large room at first look. Later that night I would be impressed with it’s durability and water proof capabilities. That night we were hit with a large thunderstorm at around midnight with sustained winds of 50 MPH, and gusts approaching 70 MPH. There were times where I though we were going to go flying. During some of the larger gusts the side would cave right in , but would always bounce back. It even took a blowing glance of a falling tree with minimal damage. (This was later replaced at no cost). We had very minimal water problems, and considering the 4 inches of rain, was pretty good. Love the tent, would recommend it. Customer Service Good. Replace the damaged fly by the falling tree. We've owned the 7 x7' for 21/2 years with no problems. I did have to seam seal the fly & pole corners twice, though, before I got it water-proofed. We've been through several rain & wind storms with no leaks. The tent seams to be very sturdy in heavy winds when using the optional tie downs. My only real complaint is the size. The floor is supposed to be 7' but ours measures 6 1/2'. My wife & I are not large people, but our feet touch the sides. This could be a problem with condensation under the right conditions. I've used it several times on extended canoe trips & has held up well. Customer Service NO Similar Products Used: Eukeka Highlite (lasted 20+ years), Eureka Dome |

I have had this tent for over 6 years. This tent is both economical and roomy. Have used it for backpacking numerous times. It has plenty of room for 2 plus packs (or a 3rd person, but it gets tight). Lots of headroom. Quick and easy set-up, even in the dark. Held up in rainstorms and a windstorm after it was properly guyed out. Downside is it could be shorter in height and lighter weight if aluminum poles were offered. Also poles could be shorter for better packing. Not a recommended tent for long trips backpacking. Customer Service None Similar Products Used: Wenzel, Slumberjack |

I've had tents that were easier to set up, but it's not bad. My wife and I played horse inside when it was raining, using rolled-up socks and the pockets on either side. Plenty of room, but cannot be carried on a a bike or backpack. Should have used shorter pole sections for that reason, and because one of them broke after about 20 uses. Didn't need to be as tall as it is, though it is neat to stand up in it. Similar Products Used: I have dealt with Coleman and all manner of other discount store tents. |

This is an excellent tent. It has plenty of room for two people, but 3 is pushing it, but it can be done. It withsatands hard rain well. I recommend it to anyone who does camp too often but wants some comfort. Similar Products Used: None |

I love this tent. It works great. I wouldn't want to carry it too far on my back but for driving and opening the car door and plopping it down it jams. Lots of room, stays dry, plenty of circulation. Customer Service It is a little more work to set up then other tents but I'm comparing to tiny ""2"" person expedition tent of my friend's. Similar Products Used: none |

I have used it for backpacking - solo and group in Alaska, Florida, Colorado and N. Hampshire. Its very roomy, fairly easy to set up and has stayed dry on all but one occasion when we had an unexpected downpour and found ourselves in the middle of a little watershed. It has shared numerous memorable trips with me and I am quite happy with it. Its a little heavy for solo trips and I am now looking into the Kelty Clip Flashlight as a second tent. I have owned the Tetregon 10 for 4 years. I have travelled from the east to west coast of Canada and the United States setting up and taking down the tent very frequently and have NO COMPLAINTS! It has more than enough room for a family of 4 with a dog. Although I had to replace the cord inside one of the poles, it took maximum of 10 minutes. The only real improvement I can see, would be for the fly to be full length. All in all I would recommend this tent to anyone who likes to car camp! Similar Products Used: Jansport Dome |

This is a very nice tent for car camping. It's not the one i choose when i backpack but it's a great tent to pull out of the trunk and it takes very little effort to set up. I have owned mine for 5 years and have never had a problem, it has quality materials and very good craftsmanship for a tent of it's price. Similar Products Used: None |
