This is a really sweet tent. At 6 lbs and change I've used this tent solo many times. I've also slept 3 adults in it (very cozy). I've weathered fantastic storms, howling wind, and at most 8 inches of snow. It always keeps me dry and happy. With two people, it needs to be pegged out to increase air circulation, or else the walls get moist. Because it is a light 4 season tent (not just a 3 season) it doesn't have as much venting mesh as other tents, but this isn't a problem if pegged out. I've never seam sealed or treated this tent in any way, and though it's been well used the past 5 years, it is as water proof as the day I bought it. I've never used guy lines for stability, but it is quiet and secure in wind. It is super easy to set up & take down. It does not have much vestibule space. Enough for wet boots and wet rain clothes, and that is it, but it is roomy enough for good shelter. I don't have a problem with my pack getting wet because I always have it covered and up on the bear-pole at night anyways. Moss has an awsome guarantee on this tent, and since MSR bought Moss, I'm sure they will honor the guarantee. Only Con is that part of the fly-door remains on the ground when the door is open, so it gets dirty as you go in and out of the tent. The zipper gets dirty there too. I've never had a problem with the zipper getting stuck, but I foresee it happening. Excellent tent. For 3 seasons it is a bomb shelter. Customer Service never used it. Great guarantee though. If your looking for a lighweight, 2-person, 3-season(light 4-season),this is the tent. Plus you can't beet the quality and durability of the Moss design. Wish the vestibule was a little larger. Similar Products Used: None |
