By far the best tent that I have ever owned. I have tried several tents and for the price, weight, and effiency this tent takes them all. The tent breathes extremely well and often times is a little cool due to the extra ventilation but, for everything this tent offers all other tents in this category fall far behind.

Customer Service

REI has the best customer service in the business. Not only do they back up their equipment they back up the vendors that they supply. I went to the one at Bailey's Crossroads and their staff is highly knowledgeable and extremely helpful. You couldn't ask for more from an outdoor retail store.

My husband and I really appreciate the fact that this tent is so lightweight- It is a strong and sturdy tent & will keep any and all critters out when properly zipped, we have found it even keeps mosquitos at bay (even way down here in the south)- Speaking of the south, it can get pretty muggggggyyyy here. When it says 3 season, it doesn't fib. We have been out in VERY hot weather, & without the rain fly, you are good to go. It is also so well ventilated, that even with the fly on, the air doesn't become stale like so many other tents. This leads to the only thing about the tent that I'd rather be different (that is if I could have my cake and eat it too)--- It is pretty cozy. By cozy, I mean that with my husband(5'10)andmyself (5'6), & the very few essentials we keep with us inside, there's no extra room. Of course, what else is a tent for, right? It also retains heat fairly well in winter. I mean no tent has a heater, but this one traps it in pretty well. All in all, this has been my favorite tent so far.

This tent is light and strong. It is very functional for one person with reasonable gear. Two full grown men would be cramped. It packed easily for a mtn bike excursion where space was a concern.

Customer Service

I never heard anyone complain about any Mountain Hardware equiptment or clothing.

Basically i reacon it is a pretty brilliant tent. It weighs a little more than some but has far more features and is damn strong for the weight. It's ventilation is great and if u had a bivvy for example i reacon it yould be fine for a 4season tent. it is plenty roomy enough for 2 with a decent sized vestibule and heaps of features- pockes etx. Also i have to mention the funky little windows.

The only drawback is if u are VERY weight concieous it is a bit heavier.

WOW! This is a tent and then some. This tent is perfect for any backpacker. 28 square feet of tent room and 9 square feet of vestible makes this tent perfect for 2 kids that are out on a trip with their parents or 1 full grown man over six foot and gear (or two very very close friends). This tent has 2 windows one for star-gazing and the other is perfect for looking around camp without even having to get out your tent. The rain fly is perfectly taped, I was in a rain storm all night and not a single drop fell on me. The venting is great too, condensation doesn't form in the morning after the rain fly was on all night. The tent in general is easy to set up and takes about 5-6 minutes. The poles are extremly light and they are very durable. These poles make the tent very strong and stiff. The extra pole at the back of the tent is very important it gives you more room at the foot of the tent to let you strech your legs in the morning. They're 4 mesh organizers in the tent to keep your stuff organized. Another feature that I enjoy about this tent is the little zipper at the back of the tent that allows you to adjust the fly or roll it up for added ventalation. If there is a sudden down pour you can roll the fly down with out having to get out of the tent.

My only dislikes is the tent weight, it is a bit on the heavey side (5 pounds 15 ounces) which isn't to heavy but you can find lighter. Cost! This tent is expensive ($275) I am not sure it is worth it (some might think so) so shop around. I bought this tent for $195 and I believe that this tent is worth that much.

Overall, I enjoy this tent very much. This is the best tent I have ever owened. If you have an extra $195 to $275 go buy this tent I think that you will find it worth while. (My value rating would of been lower if I had paid the full $275)

This tent has it all for a light, 1 man tent with realistic gear expectations. It is strong enough to handle the windiest of nights, so long as the temperatures are not frigidly low. The ventilation in this tent makes it extremely livable, while the strength from 4 poles, though heavy, makes it a wonderful tent. I don't know how they managed to make it so light and small and still retain the strength, but it is my first choice for a weight concious backpacker who still likes living room in a one man tent.

Customer Service

Mountain hardware has yet to disappoint me.
