This is one great little tent! It is comparable to the Sierra Designs Clip Flashlight, but because it is Mountain Hardware, there's a bit more quality involved (and price). Although it's billed as a two person tent, it really would be cramped with two people but I know it could be done if necessary. I've used this tent now on three backpacking trips and love it. While backpacking a portion of the AT in Georgia, it rained for six straight hours. I didn't have time to seam seal it prior to the backpacking trip due to time constraints (even though it's factory seam sealed). It rained for over six straight hours, and I mean RAINED!!! I've never been out in such a downpour before. This little "baby" didn't leak one drop of water the whole time!!! It hardly takes any time at all to set up and is very light weight for a three season tent. This tent has been discontinued although I didn't know it when I purchased it. I think this may be because of the price and the fact that you can find the Sierra Designs Clip Flashlight on sale at times for about a $100.00 less (I paid $235.00 for this tent.) I bought this tent from an outfitter called The Call of the Wild. I would be reluctant to do business with these people in the future. My tent was the only one they had (a floor model), and when I took it on its first backpacking trip, the rear pole was bent (even though it was an Easton). I took the tent back to the store and they said that the pole wasn't bent when I bought it and inferred that I bent it. They tried to reshape it but couldn't (Easton poles, although very lightweight, are very rugged). They called Mountain Hardware while I waited in the store and MH said they would send me a new pole. MH shipped me a pole via Fed-Ex -- no problem! So why the hassle from the store since this tent was on warranty and wouldn't cost them anything??? Don't know. Anyway, I would recommend this tent to anyone who backpacks.

Customer Service

Outstanding -- there's something to be said for Mountain Hardware customer service. They are a small company, quality and customer service conscious. They rule!

The trinity served me well on an around the mountain trip of MT. Hood in Oregon where I experience high winds in exposed areas with no hint of tent failure. It is important to position the tent with its rear into the wind. I have not experienced heavy rains, but have spent many a night in light precipitation with no discomfort. Okay, it is not a spacious tent, but I usually go solo and for that I have no complaints. Two of us did spend two nights in Spray Park on Mt Rainier and though cozy the room was enough.

I used that tent on a three months bike trips. I experienced heavy rain for two weeks in a row and never get any water or humidity in the tent.

This shelter is incredibly easy to mount and dismount and is big enough for two person (occasionnally).

On starry night the tent is perfect for star gazing without mosquitoes.
