I purchased the Camp Dome 6 since I have 3 children and a wife and I wanted something which wouldn't be too extremely heavy. I think 13 pounds is reasonable for this size of tent. The tent has plenty of room. It is durable and easily cleaned. I have an overall positive review of this product. The only negative is that the bottom zipper on the front door leaked a little during a storm and the rain fly does not cover the front door.

We have the REI Camp Hut 4 and really like it. Floor size is about 8.5x10 ft. It's plenty big for tall people and is quite easy to put up and take down. The clip assembly, rather than sleeves, makes it fast. It's sturdy and the zippers seem fine. Good ventilation. Only one problem so far: The rain fly makes little crackling noises, a sound like small debris falling on it; but it happens when there's no vegetation overhead, and no wind. Very mysterious. The tent packs easily into its bag.

Customer Service

Excellent customer service. I will be asking them about the rain fly noise.

I grabbed this tent because of REI's reputation and I wanted a BIG tent. I haven't been disappointed. Oh the room and to be able to stand up and get dressed... it's wonderful. The only thing I would suggest is if you can spend the few bucks more, get the Camp Dome, the aluminum poles would be worth it. Hey REI, what about a full coverage fly or at least an additional vestibule?

Customer Service

I've done alot of business with REI and I haven't had a bad experience yet. They have great people.
