Yes I have been stuck in heavy rain with this amazing tent. The previous reviewer points out a problem which I have resolved rather easily by putting some Duct tape on the inner side of the door flaps. This now prevents them from snagging in the zippers. It also straigthens them while it rains. A cheap way way to solve a small problem... the beauties of duct tape!!! In non-windy wheather the ventilation is augemented when the door is held open by pitching it high and tight with pegs or walking sticks. This prevents the rain from falling on your stuff and IMHO provides greater ventilation then the SD Clip Flashlight because the CF's door has to be closed in case of possible rain. You can also tighten the rear of the tent for greater ventilation. In windy wheather, ventilation is certainly not an issue. For the price paid, and the comfort this tent provides, my original review still holds after all the use I've had with it. As I said, the flap snagging is solved using $0.50 worth of duct tape.

I agree with the first poster that this is a very roomy tent; however, it has its drawbacks. Has the previous reviewer experienced heavy rain with either of his Orion ASTs? Hmmmm... well, my experience is that while the tent keeps me and my partners bone dry (most important), the zipper flaps on the rainfly are quite thin, and when wet easily jam the fly zippers down each side of the fly opening. The rainflap zips are even awkward in dry weather--not only is the angle bad, but they even jam in dry weather, albeit not as bad a problem as when wet (the tent door zippers are just fine). Ventilation is also mediocre (unlike previously stated)--this is due to the fact that the rear of the tent has no air flow (unlike my Clip Flashlight 2, for example). On the very positive side, this tent is sturdy and very light (6 pounds packed), and very compact--not a great deal bigger than my Clip when bagged. Nevertheless, the drawbacks are enough to keep me looking.

Bought this tent as a car camping complement for my Orion AST. I own the Orion AST and think it's a great BP tent but my GF wanted one with more livable space. We sure got it!!! I think this is the most amazing 3 season tent. It's light, very sturdy, well ventilated, looks sleek, pitches up in no time, and has enough space for gear and two 25x74 matresses. Best of all, we finally have a tent where we can do many other things then just lay there and sleep ;-). What else can you ask for? I have no quirms about this tent... It's worth every dollar. It is somewhat heavy for BP, but it's not the reason why I bought it. And I also have the Orion 2 AST for that purpose.
