This tent is great piece of equipment! Pack size is excellent, light, easy to set up, ROOMY for one person, highly reccomend this tent. I have tried out several other backpacking tents and this one is my choice. Look around for this tent on closeout sales like Campmor or Sierra trading Post, will be close to $100 price tag. I like the tent, read other reviews here and agree with everything thats said, except! I have an original version, not sure how the newer models are different. One other big problem I have found is that you need almost perfectly level ground to set up tent. Can be a big pain in the @!*#. Not sure why this is but I think it has something to do with the staking points. Aside from this, outstanding tent. Similar Products Used: None |

I got a great deal on this tent since it was last year's model, so from that standpoint it was a GREAT deal. But even at full price ($180) I think it would be well worth the money. TNF seemed to think of everything when they designed this tent, down to a catch pocket for the pole to make for very easy assembly; plus extra guy lines for windy nights. This "1+" person tent has more floor space than some 2-man tents I've been in! Similar Products Used: Looked at: Kelty Dart, EMS Shooting Star, REI Flyte-2 |

A great, lightweight tent. Space for one (or two close friends!). Realistically this is a solo tent allowing plenty of room for your gear. Excellent design allows you to erect the tent very quickly (literally a couple of minutes on a slow day). The see-um mesh is most excellent and allows ultra light backpacking as you can leave the flysheet at home when the weather is really good. Similar Products Used: None |

Hiking in Michigan and wanting to lighten the load I bought the Canyonlands for solo hikes in the north woods. This tent is a great 3 season tent with plenty of ventilation and the dark color means a good sleep even with a full moon shining down. The only drawback is to remember to raise the fly door on those still, damp nights or in the morning you face a shower from the condensation on the inside of the rain-fly. The tent is factory sealed and is dry in the pounding rain.Overall a good tent for those solo getaways on the weekend. Similar Products Used: None |

I am an avid backpacker and was looking for a solo tent. I chose the TNF Canyonland and have loved it. I am 6'2 and have plenty of room in it. The tent ventilates extremely well and has a nice vestibule. I used the tent most recently on a 5 day trip in Canada. We had a lot of rain and tempatures in the low 30's. I stayed dry and work. Two great features of this tent are the windows and the no-seum mesh. The windows where great to see what was going on outside the tent people and weather wise. The no-seum mesh is great from the standpoint that there is nothing better then being in your tent and opeing the fly, laying in your bag, and watching the sun come up from within your tent, with no obstructions - the same view goes for stars. The only drawback that I had is that the door of the fly is somewhat awkward when wet. Based on how it opens you need to be careful and quick when it is wet. Its a great tent!
