Damned fine tent. Got's to love when it's nice enough to go without the fly. Then you don't have to stake it out. Free standing is the way to go. Only a 3 season tent but I woke up outside Sedona AZ with 4 inches of snow on the ground and my tent standing so I was happy. Always make sure to apply seam sealer to waterproof it. It's in the directions to do so. Mine even came with some. For any tent if using the fly make sure to stake it out and use the guy lines if you can to minimize condensation. Durable tent. Weight is ok. A bit tight for 2 folks but roomy for one in harsh weather when you need to stick you're stuff inside. Definitely a good buy if you're camping with a significant other. And also a great buy if North Face stands behind the warranty. I hope not to have to use mine. It should last quite a while. Very hard for the non-athletic to put up the first few times. And may the designer/s of this tent be stuck inside the rainfly with a truly urgent* need to get outside at 3am and the zippers on the fly stuck tightly. After a week of canoe camping along a Texas river this early spring, I'll keep it, but it's going to take a while to learn to like it. It does stake out well and does stand up magnificently to quite heavy storms. The colour stands out like a sore thumb and emerging from it makes the entire world look the wrong shades until the eyes adjust. I wouldn't but it again, but it's sturdy and compact to fit into a pack. Similar Products Used: None |

I've been using this tent for a lot of purposes including car trips. the manufacture is precise and setup is a breeze. My only complaint is that North Face did not include enough pegs. Similar Products Used: None |

The Cirrus is good for me ALONE (6'3" 230 lbs) when I brought someone else it was very cramped. I guess I have to face facts that I need a 3 person tent for me and one other person. My Cirrus is at Northface right now due to a broken pole (not sure how it happened but made that trip not so fun) and ripped mesh on the front (dog claw, definately my dog's fault). I'm hoping they will replace the pole (under warranty) and repair the mesh at my cost. I'll let you know. Good sturdy tent if you stake out all the lines. |
