I purchased this tarp and insert after seeing some of my hiking buddies use/rave about it. It has held up to the hype. It's light (about 3 lbs/w mesh), and provides 100 sq. ft. of coverage. It has more than enough room for two, with side vestibules for packs. The ventilation is awsome, I've had condensation only once, camping near a breezeless lake in the summer. It is the best in the rain! I was able to cook, and open the awning to view a variety of nice thunderstorms! It is also very flexible. You can pith the tent useing trekking poles, or by tying guylines to trees. I have incorporated lightweight bungees (from brigade quartermasters), which has added even more versatility. By far, this is the most versitile, flexible peice of gear I own. And, you can't beat the value and weight! Walrus no longer makes this tent, MSR has purchased Walrus and makes an 88 sq. ft. version.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! I have used this tarp for around 9 months. Blowing wind (+40 mph) cold down to 30F and it works great. In essence it is a Tarpers Dream with some privacy. I use it in conjunction with a Micro Mesh Bivy for bug control.

I needed to add a stake point at the mid section of each long side. BOOM they had it and did it now I have a Tarp for all conditions

A first class shelter for the weight concious backpacker. Enough room for two and gear as well as a place to cook when the weather is poor. My first three rips with this shelter has changed my summer camping preference to this Tarp from the stand by tent. I use a Walrus bug screen in conjunction with this tarp to prevent skeeter harassment.

first manufactured tarp, I have used lean-tos fashioned from parkas and drop cloths in the past. This tarp is way past those items
