I bought the poles at the begining of this year so I could day hike on snow and ice covered trails. Not being light in weight I thought that the poles might not stand up. Boy was I wrong. They have saved me from falls numerous times and their strength is unbelievable for something so light in weight. I balked about the cost but feel in the end it was well worth it. I almost hate to see winter end. Then I'll have to put these away and break out my wanderfreund again.

have not had to use them yet. but have heard bad things from other hikers

Bought these while doing a 600-mile hike on Appalachian Trail in New England. They were replacements for another Leki pole (the Ultralite Ti Trigger PA Trekking Poles) which were not holding up to the beating of the trail. This pole was very strong and rugged, and the positive angle grip and the spring anti-shock features were very valuable. These poles saved my butt many times. I could not have gone as far as I did without them. Saw lots of them on the trail, and for good reason. Not cheap, but worth it. They will last.

Customer Service

Superb. I fell on the pole in the White Mountains and bent one of the sections. The section was replaced without question by the AMC store at Pinkham Notch, which is a Leki dealer.

Love the poles. They do cost a lot of money, but I''''ve seen people bend inferior poles, and then have to spend 50 bucks on a new pair. These are light and feel great. Trust me, if you don''''t have poles they should be your next ''''investment''''. They''''re an investment because they save your knees.

A bit hard to adjust ... just put the end on the ground and push everything together. Then tighten both sections. When you want to extend, loosen just enough to pull longer; you should feel some tension or you may have loosened too much. Otherwise, fine poles. A little long, and weighty. I'm not sure the anti-shock is all that important either. I use these for rigourous climbs in local mountains, canyoneering in Utah, etc.

Customer Service

When I first bought the poles, I broke one trying to adjust it (the screw thread). Took it in to A16. They mailed it to Leki for me. Three weeks later, pole came back fixed but missing basket.

I love my Leki poles! I've had them for about 5 years and haven't had to replace anything on them. I've used them for hiking and snowshoeing. The only frustrating thing with them is once in a while they will come unscrewed and collapse if the tip is caught inbetween rocks, but this is rare. They've saved me from many a near fall and from some butt-sliding down steep hills, not to mention some sore knees. This was undoubtedly the best $120 gear bucks I ever spent.

These poles are very good! I like them very much. They helped me a lot while crossing rivers in West virginia, and in Pennsylvamia they are very highly praised. But I do have a problem, on my third trip the screw, that the 16mm expander screws onto came loose, and the poles vibrate a lot because of it. Other than that the poles are perfect!

Customer Service

I have a slight problem with how they treated me. I emailed them 3 times and they didn't respond for over 2 months! then they only told me to call them, so I did and left a message because they close at like 4:00PM. But they never returned any of my 6 messages!

I bought these poles early this year and have been using them on every single hike this year, and I love them. I have hiked and backpacked several times, including steep, rocky terrain, and my knees are certainly glad I got them.
The poles still look like new, even though I've taken them on a couple of rought, wet trips. They are extremely easy to adjust; I usually have the springs locked when going up-hill, and in the intermediate setting when going down (as well as slightly longer).
I'm going to try them snowshoeing this winter, as well as a possible downhill skiing trip (don't know how the angled grips will work here).

Customer Service

Haven't needed it.

Great pair of poles. As a thru-hiker of the A.T. I received a new pair in Damascas and have loved them since. Very durable, they saved my butt, face, knees, etc. many of times-especially in Pennsylvania. I was amazed at their flexability and durability. Many of times I thought they were going to bend or snap in half but didn't. Highly recommended.

Customer Service

No experience, but have heard they are excellent and have a lifetime guarantee on these poles- sold me.

I purchased a pair of these poles this Spring to take stress off my knees while navigating steep terrain with a heavy pack. The angled, synthetic cork grips are comfortable but the "turbo disc" tension adjuster for the straps is of little use. The variable shock absorption feature is handy if more than one person uses the poles and pole length is easily and securely adjusted with Leki's twist & lock system. Quality of workmanship is high but I haven't used the product long enough to rate durability. These are great poles so far and if they last for years, the high initial cost will have been justified.

Purchased these poles this season. Initial quality seems high. Looking forward to using these while thru-hiking the PCT. I'll post another review after that.

Customer Service

no idea...full warranty sold me though.
