I just loved these boots. Recently on a short day hike at Fort Ord I got my feet wet unexpectedly and was VERY concerned that my toes would blister. But they didn't. In fact, not only did they turn out fine, it seemed that my socks actually dried out faster than normal. Don't know if it could be a feature of the boot itself or just blind luck. Anyway, I am very satisfied. Customer Service No experience with anything else. |

These are the only boots I've ever owned. I spent months going from outfitter to outfitter trying to find the perfect boot. When I met the SL, I fell in love. I tried them on with five different types of socks, and against other brands and even other Fabianos. They were perfect. They were exactly what I was looking for, with one-piece leather construction & Vibram soles. They are great for midweight backpacking. They're a little heavy for day-hiking, but I wear them anyway. They support the ankles well, and I haven't had one blister yet. I've had mine for a year and 1/2, and plan on taking them on an Appalachian Thru-hike next year. I thought they were a little pricey when I first bought them ($189), but they have far surpassed their price in the quality of construction. Similar Products Used: None |
