Breathable, water-resistant split leather/nylon uppers feature moisture-wicking, brushed nylon linings to help keep feet dry. Vista-Flex® insole construction with steel shanks provides lateral stability while allowing a natural flexing motion for comfort. Shock-absorbing phylon midsoles offer long-lasting, lightweight cushioning. Rubber outsoles feature long-wearing saw tooth lugs at heels and toes for extra traction and secure footing. Fully gusseted tongues help keep water and debris out of boots; pre-molded heel counters protect heels and support ankles. V.F.S. EVA foam insoles cushion feet with every step and can be replaced with insoles for wider or narrower feet--sold separately. Padded collars are angled down in back to prevent irritation of Achilles tendons.
