Strength:

Weakness:
None I bought this from REI Outlet and sent it back. It was constructed well, and the netting/window arrangement was good. What made it unusable to me was that the poles are thinner than a pencil, made of fiberglass and seem really cheap.( the insert sleeves came off right away),no side entry, which I knew about upon puchase, but is very inconvient, and the head portion is not freestanding, it kept flopping down on my head. If you live with (what I consider)these bad points It is a great buy for 119.00 I bought a TNF Soloist, much better all around. Similar Products Used: None |

I've owned a Nada Tent for 4 years now and have been very happy withn it's overall performance. Good headroom with plenty of length and width. Has never leaked a drop, but have found ice build-up on the inside in extremely cold weather. Has been a solid piece of equipment. |

I've used this bivy several times, and I'm really pleased with the way it works. I like the twin pole set up, and the way you can lie out under the stars, and look out with fear of mosquitos and other nasties. I've weathered several driving rainstorms in iot, without any leakage. I'm a sweater, and the breathability kept me dry from the inside, as well as out. I have to think every time I set it up, as the poles are somewhat complicated, but well worth the effort. |

I have had this bivy for 3 yrs now and have used it in from single digit temps to thunderstorms. It has never failed me. I agree a short zipper would make it much easier to get in & out of. Also if you are a bit clostrphobic this my not be the best way to go |

Moonstone Not-a-tent. Great product . I have an older version, about 4 years old. Never any problems. No leaks, have used it at high altitude and on the beach. I do wish they would use shock corded poles. I have recently had a half side zipper added to make entry and exit easier, plus a few pockets inside to hold socks, gloves glasses, etc. I use this on about 75% of my trips instead of a tent. Customer Service None. Never needed it. Similar Products Used: I have tried or examined most other bivis. The only one near in performance is the North Face Soloist. |

I have had the moonstone bivy for less then a year and have had it on three cold weather trips so far. It appears to be very waterproof and helps to insulate my 20 degree bag down to around 10 degrees lower. It is also very light and packable. |
