I bought these for general mountaineering, but they worked fine on some vertical ice at Vail. Probably one of the best all-round crampons you can get. The strapping system is really easy to manipulate with gloves (my favorite feature). My only complaint would be that they have the option of moving the front bail back and forth for better performance when switching between mountaineering and vert ice, but I found it to be a pain in the arse, and gave up. Maybe I just don't know the correct way of switching them. I used these with the anti-snow plates, and never had a complaint. Similar Products Used: None |

Nice crampon. The only complaint about them is that the secondary points are a bit shorter than I would like, but they still perform nicely. A great all-round crampon for any activity that you want to do. Just about the best thing out there for alpine climbing. Made solidly and built to last. Similar Products Used: None |

These are my first pair of crampons, and they work just great for mountaineering and vertical ice. The secondary points may be a bit too short, but overall I haven't had any problems. They are a real good investment if your like me and are just getting into ice. Similar Products Used: None |

These work great for everything I've tried so far. . . steep snow & ice, glacier and a little vertical. Haven't had a single unintentional release either. Get the anti-snow plates, they're worth the $35 or so in sloppy snow. Similar Products Used: None |

First of all I wish I had got the crampons in that picture for my 135 bucks. The actual sabertooth are a great product they work excellent for moderate ice and glacier, havent tried them on the steeps. I did notice that at hte time of my purchase I recieved the updated rear bale this is easily ajusted for my different boots. excellent price for what you get. Love the step-in at the price of a strap-in. Similar Products Used: None |

These crampons are a good all around crampon. They are decent for waterfall climbing but i would reccomend upgrading to the makos. The secondary points on the sabertooths are not good for front pointing on steep climbs. and by the way nice picture guys Similar Products Used: rambos, g12, super 8 |

These crampons are perfect for everything save the most technical ice and waterfall climbing. I went to my local climbing shop and tried on about all of them and these ones had to be the best one out there (Keep it up BD!). It works well on shorter vertical climbs, but if you are planning on doing a lot of ice and waterfall climbing, consider upgrading to the BD Mako or similar, but if you are doing regular mountaineering/glacier travel, and "non major technical" ice or waterfall climbing, these crampons are perfect. |

A good crampon for general mountaineering but I found the secondary points to be a little too short for waterfall ice. Otherwise, it's light weight and semi rigid flexibility makes it good for glacier travel and the occasional vertical climb. |

You got the wrong picture there guys. A great crampon for the mountains, never a complaint. Went on well with Overboots. |
