Overall a nice harness. Only real complaint is I wish the gear loops were pointed down like the Black Diamond Blizzard. They can be somewhat annoying when you have a pack on with gear on the loops.

Customer Service

Overall Arcteryx is pretty good from what I''ve seen

Very comfortable harness. I like the adjustments on the leg loops. I don't ice climb in AZ but it is more convenient for adjusting to layers. Just about everything is in the right place and has the right amount of durability. Shows only the slightest wear after a few off widths and four months of sport and trad. Comfortable to dog as well as wear all day on the crags. A bit on the expensive side, jsut look for a sale.

An excellent harness for all sorts of uses. The drop seat is nice b/c you can drop-trou without removing the harness (you can even keep the leg loops on).
My only complaint is that the gear loops are very stiff, so they dig in to your hips a fair bit when wearing a heavy pack (an Arc'Teryx pack!), unless I take the effort to get them all pointing upwards under the waist belt.
It's also a solid, comfortable sport climbing harness.

Customer Service

They promptly answered some questions I had over e-mail

I use this harness for everything(sport, trad, mountaineering, gym climbing) and it is great. It is always comfortable and its easy to adjust it over pants etc. I love it...it has huge gear loops for long sport routes, and is comfortable for hanging belays.

Customer Service

great, it didnt come with the "ID"'s that were supposed to, so I emailed them and they sent about 15 of them to me!

This is an extremely comfortable, well-designed harness. It's great for alpinists because of it's four gear loops, ice racking attachments, and dropable leg loops. It fits a wide range of waist/thigh size combinations. Spend the money now instead of having to buy this harness after you find out the other harness you're considering sucks.

If you are about to buy an alpine harness try this one and the Petzl Gourou. Buy the one most comfortable for you. This was my choice. Probably the most comfortable item I own – and I have been wearing harnesses that have tried to neuter me. Since you wear alpine harnesses for days and weeks it all comes down to how they fit. If this is a Mercedes (rock solid, top quality, laid back) then the Gourou is a BMW - a little more sporty and high tech, but not the same indestructible yet comfy feeling. I wore mine for a week of glacier training in northern Sweden. Rain every day, training 10h a day and it (the harness) didn’t bother me one second.
Indoors. This is my indoor climbing harness as well. Does not restrict movement, comfortable although a bit heavy – but since I’m the strongest man alive, it doesn’t bother me.

But.

I will cost you some $.

But on the other hand – this and the rope is what your life depends on.

This harness is very comfortable and will never restrict your movement. It's a very simple harness with all the important features, like fully adjustable leg loops, equipment loops, and of course a belay loop. The verro is very thin and light, but it's minimalist padding will keep you far from pain. I've used mine to hang for hours to set routes at the wall at my school. It was like sitting in a chair.

I have had this harness for a few months and its amazing. Nothing else dissapears when you put it on like this does. You only notice the harness when you need it most (on a fall) or when reaching for your rack, which is supportwed on the generous gear loops.
I suffer from back pains which are due to my bent spine. I chose this harness because Arcteryx have thought about the ergonomic comfort needed in a harness at all times. I tried other harnesses at the store but they didnt compare, this included the Petzl Gourou and Wild Country.

Customer Service

They gave me 10% off because they didnt have it stock first time.

Is a very comfortable harness, suitable for indoor/outdoor climbing. Is desgined as a alpine harness, the legs can be taken off and you can still be cliped in (not full strength)

Customer Service

VERY VERY slow
