I had a chance to demo the new Omega Pacific IceMetric tool. These tools perform very well in waterfall ice. I did not think they performed as well on mixed climbing due to pick design. I do like the ability to adjust the angle of the pick. The leash is very comfortable. I think these would be a great beginner/ intermediate icetool.
