An excellent Italian boot that fits a wide range of feet extremely well. The Nubuck leather does tend to get scratched rather badly after a couple of seasons use, but this appears to be only a cosmetic concern, as the leather has retained its integrity in both the toes and heel zones. I have led up to 5.7 routes in these boots with out any complaints in terms of edging power etc. They also take crampons fine, and are perfect for Sierra routes such as are found in the Palisades. I am particularly happy with these boots since they are (or at least were) made up to a size 14.5!! Hard to find I can assure you. If you need a pair of heavy mountain boots that you can hike and climb in and your feet don''t fit La Sportiva or Scarpa lasts try these.
