Wired hexs seem like such a fine idea....they are to some effect. Ive found that wired hexs are GREAT for the smaller sizes--5, 6, and #7. The #7 is just small enough that its weight wont bend the wire when youre reaching for a placement. #8-10 are too heavy for reaching with the wire, they just bend and become really annoying. also, the wires on #8-10 are really quite long, and your rack starts dangling down to your knees--even more annoying. my advice: buy wired hexes #6 and 7, then sling your own for 8, 9, and 10, and make the lengths about equal to the #7. oh yeah, the smallest hexes are a huge waste of money--they dont place well, lack surface area, and are far inferior to a nut in the same size--DONT waste your money on any hex below a #6. and dont buy the #11--its just too big. BD hexs are superior to others ive used--metolius and wild country. they place the best and clean the easiest! hope this helps!! 5 stars for hexs #6, and 7 1 star for all other wired hexs Similar Products Used: metolius curve hex wildcountry rockcentrix |
