excellent for toe-pulling on overhanging terrane. the lacing system seems to hold the foot tighter. edging and crack climbing is good, though it seems to lack on slabby terrane.

These shoes just don't stretch. The saleperson might tell you that it will but those nylon strips on the side just doesn't let it stretch at all. Aside from that, it a damn good shoe. Edging is great with this shoe. Dime size foot holds feel solid, and the feel you get from this shoe is super sensitive.

I love these shoes. I can step on the the tiniest foothold with very positive results. Decent smearing capability. The lacing system makes them a trial to get on, but it also holds on to your foot very well. Holes in the heel provide good ventalation. Heel is rather large. Don't expect them to stretch much, so don't buy them too small.

An excellent shoe for advanced climbers, but I think Boreal screwed it up with fusion 2 rubber. Fusion 1 was far less fussy about the weather conditions. This shoe is VERY much dependant on good conditions and gets slippery if the humidity or temperature is wrong. The heel is worth mentioning - like the holes - most people believe they are good for ventilation, but they are really helping you get the shoe up on the foot, since the lacing system is very restrictive. Good shoe for those hard climbs!

Good shoe for intermediate to advanced climber. Helps proper foor placing on small extrusions. Reasonable smearing. However, Boreal should improve their rubber. I found that both la sportiva (cobra) and five-ten have more 'sticky' rubber.
My shoes did strech a bit, but not too much. On wet roch they are of little use!

Sweet shoe... All feet aren't the same (I have Boreal feet),so test a pair before commiting th' bucks. Perfect for my foot though. Miniscule toe pulls on th' steeps are what this shoe excells on. Bought em' WAY snug & suffered through the break-in period. ...Sped up this process slightly, by heating the uppers (not at the glued welt) w/a blow-dryer while wearing them. (kids, don't try this without adult supervision!) If your into hookin' th' hard stuff, "Da Kine"

The stingers are excellent for edging on micro shelves when climbing trad, indoors, or bouldering. The supportive arch under the toes helps your feet muscles last longer when edging all day long. The lacing system helps keep a wide foot from stretching out the sides, though it is harder to get them untied quickly when you can't take the pain any longer. The holes in the heel allow you to get the shoe on easier by letting air escape but they fill with dust/dirt too easily. Overall they are excellent shoes and climb like a dream on the right rock.

Sport shoe that excels in overhanging face and thin crack climbing. Does not perform well on hard edging on 90 degrees or lower.Smearing ability is adequate. Fits like a glove and I feel like a ballerina, and all ballerinas I know and read about all have terrible foot problems associated with pressure on their feet. Expect no toe support from these shoes and they are uncomfortable as feet in a vice, just kidding. I can wear them for an hour or two then it's on with the thongs. Good for hard routes that are overhanging. Good in the gym. Expensive. get them, at MEC if you are a US Citizen.

Customer Service

I contacted them via e-mail and they responded and offered to replace my shoe once I described a deffect in the rand. I was satisfied.

These are by far my favorite shoes. I bought them very tight and after a seemingly long break in period they now fit like a glove. They edge very well and the prostetic toe and the shape of the heel are great for thin climbs and overhangs. I have to take them off between climbs but there performance more then makes up for this. The holes in the heel do not do much for ventilation (my feet sweat perfusely). In my opinion they help the shoe stick to your heel like a suction cup. They are excellent shoes for hard sport routs, bouldering and gym climbing. I highly recomend these shoes (if the last fits your foot well). I am going to get them resoled with stealth rubber.

Customer Service

I have heard different things about the ability of these shoes to hold their shape after resoling. I think it depends on who you send them to.
