These wre my first shoes. i didnt like them at first because i was told that sportivas were not very durable. Anyway, i ended up being quite happy with them. In fact, this shoe what i compare my other shoes to. If only they were a bit more durable....

These are the greatest shoes ever! The curved toe allows for excellent edging. Unfortunately, my pair have seen better days. Does anyone know where to purchase these shoes? I want another pair!!!!!!

The La sportiva Ghibli is a good shoe. It has a real fin fit and it is the best shoe I hav ever treid!!!. The only negative side is that poor wearing qualities, the first pair lasted just 8 month. But the shoes is cheap comparet with other modeles and brands.

After the long and torturous break in period, these shoes now fit perfectly. They're great for super steep routes and good for some cracks. They're my main shoe for all but the longest multi-pitch routes. I went two sizes down from my street shoe size, and as these are lined, this eventually worked out well. I think you have to have strong feet to push these shoes where they're meant to go- i.e.- these are not beginner shoes. The slingshot rand is sweet- it really puts the toes in a powerful position.

Why did La Sportiva discontinue this shoe?!?!? It's one of their best models. In fact they've discontinued two of the best models they make- the Ghibli and the K3. Never had to deal with customer service- LS turns out the highest quality product on the market.

The La Sportiva Ghiblis are outstanding on next to nothing foot placements. They are super sensitive and extremely direct. The only trade off is the Chinese Vicegrip feeling after a few hours of climbing of which I wouldn't recommend mulit-pitch routes for these particular shoes. However, these shoes are tremendous for sport routes.

I highly recommend these climbing shoes. They are sensitive, edge on matchsticks, are very light and fit your feet like a the proverbial glove. They helped raise my climbing grade two number grades in 3 months and my boudering grade by 4 since ditching my old clogs.

These are NOT a beginners shoes as they have very thin rands and would blow out very quickly with foot dragging, but on the feet of someone experienced they will perform beyond expectations.

Don't expect to climb multiptches in these, as you want them very tight to edge well. Definately a high performance sport climbing/bouldering shoe.

these shoes rock! i have been a spotiva fan for many years and i think that these are the best shoes i have ever worn.they edge like no man knows.the downturned toe make the smallest nubbins seem like diving boards.great for sport or multi pitch(although they are prety painful afrter a few pitches). these are like driving a high performance sportscar.

Customer Service

i had some problems with some cobras that i bought and took them back to the sportiva warehouse in boulder. their c.s.was outstanding. they were friendly, polite, and they hooked me up. this was nice to see since i am not a big name climber.
