The best camming device money can buy. Period. Smoothest action of any cam. Smooth as silk. Well made and solid. Cam surfaces are wide for good surface contact. Small sizes are now available as 2-axle Microcamelots (haven't tried them yet). #1 Size is indispensible -- you may want to carry 2! Customer Service Respond promptly to e-mail inquiry. Nice cams, I agree with all the comments about the larger expansion range (when compared to other types) though I've never placed them as passive pro, seems more like marketing to me but mind you I've never gone out of my way looking for a such a placement. Similar Products Used: Metolius |

The Number 3 Camalot (single stem), as with all Camalots, is great. Superior holding power and greater placement range make them my SCLD of choice. Of course, they are expensive. Customer Service Black Diamond has excellent customer service by phone, email or internet. They stand behind their products and will fix/replace questionable items. |

Strength:
None
Weakness:
None If given a choice, the piece I want below me before the crux is a no-brainer, go with a camalot. The problem is they are heavy and expensive. All approved SLDC''s are good and strong. I would go with a lighter cam over the camalot. Similar Products Used: None |
