Strength:
A good stiff board. Handled, I thought, well in low angle trees with fresh snow. I liked it on evrything but ice. It did handle well at slow speeds and did well at high speeds too. Tulare trailer repair Weakness:

It is expensive (2 star value at list price, but on sale everywhere in the states now, so 4 to 5 depending on how much you actually pay), and you pay for very good construction, a beautiful appearance, and uniqueness. Peoria mobile diesel mechanic Weakness:

10 trips a year on class I/II with 2 people. My only problem is the "Dagger" lableling/stickers which are coming off pretty easy. Beautiful boat on ozark water. Customer Service a Similar Products Used: a |

This is a follow up from 8/00 to 3/03. This is my forth season with this boat and it has taken a beating. It has held it's shape and aquired many dings and dents but no breaches. There is no "oil canning" at all and everything has held together great, except the cane on the seat has been replaced. It is stored out side year round. I have returned it to it's original configuraion from the mods I made earlier, but still paddle the same, solo. In my opinion this is the best solo canoe for larger people(I'm 6'2"200#) and extended tripping on rivers especially if you bring a dog because the seat is located aft the center line and your buddy has room up front. I have paddle about 400 miles a year on ozark streams and a trip or 2 out west and southeast. It handels class III and IV with some muscle, it's a little long for WW but it'll take some abuse. A good choice if you have one boat. Similar Products Used: Old Townes, Mad Rivers |

This is a great boat. I paddle mainly class II rivers solo and it handles very well. It's perfect for week long and much longer tripping. It paddles very well tandom and is very manuverable when loaded. I've outfitted mine with a sliding and slanted seat and removed the Yoke and replaced it with two thwarts one one each side of the seat. This was done by hanging 2x36in. pieces of wood from the existing holes in the gunwales and hanging the seat and thwarts from that. It makes load balance adjustment easier and makes for a more aggesive setting possition. I've also replaces the other seat with a thwart so now it a solo canoe. It can be retured to it's original set up in minutes. Anyway, this boat is pefect for the one who can't decide solo or tandom, flat water or river. Similar Products Used: None |
