Dagger Legend 16 Canoes

Dagger Legend 16 Canoes

DESCRIPTION

Aptly named, the Legend has developed quite a following over the years. We'd guess most of the Legends we first built a decade ago are still being used and abused by people from all over. The Legend is constructed of precision reinforced Royalex, so you get the strongest canoe possible.

Well howdy there folks. It's good ol' Arkansas getting back atcha on that dang ol' Dagger again.
Got a little more to tell ya bout on this here go round, but not much more. With work and weather, I have only been able to take it out on one trip and that was a long flatwater stretch with a couple of class I's and maybe a II thrown in fer good measure.
From that experience I can say so far that the canoe is AWESOME!! Quick, light, agile, stable. What more do you want. Pretty darned comfortable also. We were standing and fishing quite a bit, but still managed to log in quite a bit of keester time during the eight hour float, and escaped without the usual case of monkey butt that I am accustomed to. If you are looking for a kick a$$ hybrid, this appears to be the one. I'll get back after some more agressive floats for an update.

Till next time, Ya'll take care now ya' hear?

The best all around canoe that I have ever had the joy of paddling. Great on whitewater up to class III+ with a spray skirt, surprisingly fast on the flats for being so maneuverable. We have 3 of them between the 8 people in my club.

They are tough as nails, too. My brother was in a roll over in an Isuzu Trooper with the canoe on top of it. After a little epoxy to patch a hole the size of a dime the Legend is back on the water. The Trooper is in the scrapyard.

Just got the thing yesterday. I have to work all dang weekend so I don't have much to write at this point. The legend is however quite at home on the top of my truck and feels very agile even at 60-75 mph. It is rather sluggish in my front yard while running tandem, but I do expect it to free up considerably once I get it on the river, which by the way, is where it is most comfortable.

Will keep you posted as stories develop.
