For some reason, the rudder on my boat worked itself out of the mount and fell off. I screwed it back in - thank god the bolt was still attached - it could have easily sunk to the bottom - and I haven't had a problem with it yet. flat tires assistance Weakness:

Backpacker
The Bali canoe exceeded my expectations in every way. I was surprised by the strength of the material, it is heavy duty pvc but despite this it can be compacted to a very small size. It could fit in a 65 litre rucksack and leave plenty of room spare for the rest of your equipment. I use a small footpump to inflate the canoe and it only takes a couple of minutes. It is very rigid when inflated, thanks to the I-beam floor and in the water it feels very solid and very stable. I have taken the canoe out to sea when there was a good 25+ knots of wind and a large swell, and although paddling is made slower work due to the wind it rides superbly over the waves and its excellent fun. Although it is slower than a solid kayak, it is not exerting to paddle. Do not have any qualms about its worthiness when it comes to rough water. Being an inflatable, it rides over the surface of the water rather than cutting through it like a solid kayak, leaving you high and dry. I don''t really have any complaints about the canoe. Obviously, being a small one person boat there is not much room for gear but I solve this problem by wearing my backpack as I paddle or tying gear to the front and rear spraydecks. It is an excellent purchase, absolutely perfect for adventurous backpackers and anyone who wants a very convenient, easy way of getting out on the water.
