The X-traxt is an outstanding piece of gear - totally comfortable, doesn't bind up when paddling hard and most importantly will not ride up on the chin. It is a bit of a project putting on, what with the quick-release rescue strap, but it will certainly come in handy someday and I'm glad to have it. It's also loaded with adjustment straps to really fine tune the fit. The front pocket has been a godsend and surprisingly easy to slide things in and out of, considering that it's made of a rubberised mesh material. Tons of lash points for a knife, whistle, strobe, etc. It performs beautifully under all conditions. Impressive buoyancy for a low-profile PFD - tested in the open sea (mild conditions) and could keep my head well clear of the water with vey little extra effort (although I doubt it would help if I were unconscious, but that's not its intended purpose). Definitely worth the money. Similar Products Used: Lotus L'Ocean, various Extrasport models. |
