I picked up a pair of Redfeather Backcountry snowshoes a couple of years ago, and have been very happy with them. They are built for the long haul, and can be relied on to get you into and (more importantly) out of the back country terrain when there is lots of snow. I don't know about the sport model, but these are just the ticket for someone that wants to explore the woods with a 30 pound pack. Now I just need a younger set of legs ...

Different Model, The Sport 30", but no page for that model. They fell apart within 2 months of 4 days/wk, 2hr use on deep packed snow. Ended up in the trash after 2 months! Used friends Tubbs and could tell the construction quality was much better.
