Found it on the clearance, go figure? Got it for my first ice climbing trip in NH, and kept me very warm on a north face ice wall with a stiff NE wind. Low bulk, high loft, lots of room. Excellent companion for those very cold ice belays. Too warm to use for anything else, aside ice fishing or snow camping. Customer Service No need for them, yet. A little on the heavy side for my taste ... 31 oz for my XL ... but this thing is waaarrrrmmmm. I use an ultralight sleeping bag and wear this thing inside on cold nights ... drape it over top on not-so-cold nights ... and have a pillow-to-die for on hot nights. In fact, if you ever stay at Sophie's place in N. Conway, you'll find the Parabat makes the perfect down comforter ... though I'll be the first to admit that such comfort creates a dilemma of such profound magnitude on frosty mornings so as to spoil virtually every well-intentioned alpine start. So if you're already on your climbing partner's blacklist ... don't buy this thing. Similar Products Used: What haven't I tried .... I have more money than sense .... fur sure!! |
