I loved the Nuptse Vest until one of the seams at the bottom of the zipper tore. It had given me years of service prior to that, however, keeping me warm on many cold nights. It packs up small and is definitely good to have as an extras on any winter trip, although it shouldn't be substituted for a full down jacket. When its really cold I can't stand being without sleeves. |

Warm vest, but feathers (many) come out. This is, in my opinion, a major weak point in so an expensive garment. Also, pocket zippers get stuck easily. The Marmot down vest is less warm, feathers come out less, and the product is less refined (the cut is too large at the bottom). I will check Mountain Hardwear and Feathered Friends next time.
