Quite simply, this is the best, most versatile piece of outdoor clothing I have ever owned. Since getting mine two years ago I have not touched any other of my fleece jackets! I wear it backcountry skiing, spring resort skking, climbing, cold weather mountain biking....I take it everwhere because it is provides the most warm for the weight possible. I raved about it so much that every one of my friends has one, or the tech version. |

Now this is truly a great jacket! That Windstopper stuff is the deal. My jacket is thin and lightweight, but blocks ALL wind and is warmer than you might think. I wear a Puffball under it, and it really cooks in 0 degree weather. The jacket is lighter than the Tech version (couldn't justify the weight cost addition), and without the extra nylon, it packs well. Zippers are tough. The cuffs are elastic, but really well made. It's tough, with a bonded mesh layer inside that helps wick moisture - pit zips are great too. I wear this thing nearly daily here in the Windy City (and cold), and it is GREAT! I would recommend - worth the cost if you need lightweight insulation and total wind coverage. |
