Nice all purpose fleece. It does an excellent job of keeping me warm and blocking light wind. I use it as a layer under my shell, or on its own. The pit zips help a great deal during hard work in cold conditions. It doesn't have nylon reinforcements in high wear areas, which might affect durability under the abuse of a pack, but it's holding up fine so far. The cut is first rate; plenty of arm mobility with no pulling or tension anywhere, and plenty of room for layering without being bulky.
if you get one on sale go for it.

This fleece jacket is the one I choose for my all-around fleece. I wear it around the town over just a t-shirt or sweater and it cuts the wind to keep me warm. When out backpacking or hiking I layer up underneath it, or use it as a layer under my shell jacket to really keep me warm in cold weather. The jacket looks great, is comfortable, and doesnt cost too much. I dont like the fact that, just like plain old cotton, it holds water. It needs to have some type of waterproof coating.
