I thought this jacket was great until the fifth day I had it, a light rain started to come in so I did the zipper up to the top when the stops broke and the zipper came right off. I got soaked later that day. Customer Service They didnt return my broken jacket, so Snow and Rock offered me a Mountain Hardwear FTX half price instead. Bargin Similar Products Used: None |

I have had this jacket for five days, I bought it on sale for £174.95 (it was £350) it is vy far the best jacket in the world. I wore it to school in a huge monsoon like rain and the jacket and I were laughing. I will be taking it on a six month expedition to Peru next year and I still think it will be laughing then. The attention to detail is emense, each drawcord has a specific function, hence there not placed randomly for fun. The hood is incredible and has ample room to wear head gear. The chin and neck warmers are a godsend in colder weather. But due to the lightness of it I can also take it to jungle and monsoon areas and not become to hot. I know everyone goes on about the zips being incredible but its hard not to, Im sorry but they are far the easiest zips to undo and I can see them appearing on tents in the future. Ditto all the other reviews. The breathability is incredible and the weight, ooh la la, it's like nothing is there. |

I use this jacket for everything. The pit zips are great for winter hiking, really long and easily accessible with one hand. The lack of storm flaps is just a great inovation. The amazing attention to detail on this jacket is the real selling point. The fit is excellent. The articulated elbows and great hood are just the right thing to put this thing on the top of any serious outdoors person's list. |

I use my Alpha for mountaineering, skiing, and bike commuting. It has preformed flawlessly in all occasions. I think the folks at Arc'Teryx have done an incredible job at making huge detail improvements over the standard g-tex shells. The cut is great, the hood very functional even with a helmet, and the no storm flap zippers never get jammed. - I was concerned about the reversed angled front pockets because you can't use them for your hands, but they actually turned out to be very convenient, easy access for storage of gloves, snacks, trailmap, etc. |

Hands down the best jacket on the market. This jacket is well thought out, durable, comfortable, bombproof and looks nice too. I've climbed in this jacket in Colorado, the Cascades, Mt. Hood, Baker, and all over the Southeast. It breathes well and sheds rain. The only thing bad about this jacket is the price. Customer Service REI, North Face, and Moonstone shells although I can't remember the product names specifically. |
