This is one of the most popular jackets, and for good reason. I used it for a winter ascent on Long's amongst other things, and it faired very nicely against the harsh wind and temperatures. The pockets are nice, but some may be a little too small for any great use. My only complaint would be that it can be a little bit bulky, but that is a good feature if you need to squeeze a lot of layering underneath. All in all, a great jacket.

I have used the alp. climbing jkt. III for two years and I´ve climbed in it, I´ve skiied in it and I also used it in numerous accentes to mountains ranging 3000 to 6000 meters. It has always been loyal and I never had a problem with it. And one can never have too many pockets. There are placed in the best placeces and the altimeter pocket is butefully placed. While ice climbig on our patagonia, this jkt performed flawlessly.
