Mountain Hardwear Synchro Shell Jackets

Mountain Hardwear Synchro Shell Jackets

DESCRIPTION

The Mountain Hardwear Synchro Jacket is a sick looking 3-layer, waterproof softshell. That's right, a softshell that's waterproof, not just water-resistant. How so? The Syncrho features a waterproof laminate, taped seams and watertight, welded pocket zippers. Mountain Hardwear sandwiched a waterproof laminate, called Conduit, between a durable, stretch-woven exterior and a soft, microfleece interior to make Conduit softshell. Then they taped the exterior seams with stretchy, tenacious TufTape making them impermeable to water to keep you bone dry.

This is a very nice jacket. It stays clean and holds up well. The softshell material is quality and it still looks new after 2 years of heavy use. It definitely stands up to Mountain Hardwear's quality standards.

In terms of performance, this is a very useful jacket. I wear it almost every day in the winter, and it goes with me on nearly every cool trip. My one complaint is that the jacket is a bit heavy for its warmth.

If I were to buy another softshell, I would definitely buy the hooded model. The addition of a hood would give this jacket much more versitility and function for wet weather and ice climbing.

Customer Service

I've never called Mountain Hardwear about any piece of gear. None of their gear has ever failed on me.
