Great all around parka! Good for backpacking. It's not made for extreme weather, but conditions have to get really bad to change to a differnt parka. The North Face fleeces fit in with no problem. I have mine since fall 01' and think it is a perfect backpackers parka. Worth the money. |

I''ve had this shell jacket for 1 year and use it with a salathe jacket. I prefer it to my mountain guide and denali jacket in most applications because this combination is lighter and works well in the south. I prefer the hand pockets vs. the napolian pockets. Also, the hood rolls well into the collar. The jacket also stuffs into the left pocket for convenience in packing. My favorite coat!REI runs this jacket on sale a couple of times per year.
