Well, this isn't an item I was actively looking for. I was looking for a winter type of coat and stumbled across this. Beside the price made it something I couldn't pass up. Since it is still warm, I'm yet to wear it, but I expect to get great service out of it as an everday coat in the fall and winter in New York City. I'm quite impressed by the construction, and the great amount of pockets. The lens cleaning cloth is an amazing idea. As a photographer, the large pockets will be quite an asset to have. More than anything, I'm sure that this will protect me against the element that can me rough at times when walking all over the city. It seems rather apparent that the Swiss Army folks have taken the innovations of there knives and done the same sort of things with a parka. Great work all around!

I bought the Chamonix hoping to have a good transition jacket from the slopes to the lodge. It was right on time. The attention to detail for Swiss Army''s first attempt at a technical jacket are amazing. Hem and waist drawcords - the waist cords are accessible from inside the bellow cargo pockets. As an avid skier, I like to have my music w/ me and I keep a 2-way to keep up with the buds on the slopes. This parka has a place for it all. I didn''t even find the retractable key cord until after having the jacket for a week! My only complaint is no powder skirt.

Customer Service

The best with their knives but haven''t had to use them for the jacket.

The folks at Swiss Army have done it again! This time it''s with clothing instead of with knives. This jacket rocks and with GORE-TEX XCR to boot! I could not believe all of the details that went into this parka. Waterproof zippers, internal mesh pockets galore, and details, details, details on the pulls, buttons, and zippers. The functionality and durability are unmatched. I can''t say enough about this great piece of waterproof outerwear. Well worth the full retail price. Keep an eye out for the knife makers from Switzerland...they''re sure to bring out some more great clothes. The only problem I had was these things are hard to find. Had to shop around before I could get my hands on one. I''m sure the people at Victorinox will make them easier to get over the coming years.
