I purchased the Life Fitness C7 for my husband, a dedicated cyclist who, unfortunately, cannot train outdoors in the Upstate NY winters. What we like about the bike is the variety of workouts it provides. I can use it as a cardio workout, he uses the sport training workout as a training tool.It also has a fit test workout that can be used to monitor your improvement and/or endurance. It comes with a manual that explains each workout in detail and gives tips and suggestions on how to maximize the benefits of every workout. Its easy to operate, just start pedaling! The display console is easy to read and understand, and allows you to follow your progress as you ride. It comes with a heart rate monitor, and has several heart rate interval workouts. What we like about the Life Fitness bike is that it is a "constant work" machine. When you're doing a specific program, the pedal resistance automatically compensates for changes in RPM. The distance you travel will always remain the same; pedaling faster will not bring you to the end of a workout sooner nor burn more calories. That way you get a consistent workout. This fitness bike can be used by beginners as well as more experienced cyclists. You can hop on it for a 10 minute easy ride or you can do a 90 minute hill workout. We would recommend the Life Fitness C7 to anyone looking for a good piece of cardio equipment, or for the cyclist who wants to continue training during the winter months.
