had these in the trailer for hiking over the past 15 years or more, they just won't die thinking of doing a marathon to wear them out. |

I have been very impressed with the Asics Brand overall and the GT-1050 lives up to their reputation. I am a heavy runner (205lbs) and run average of 20 miles a week. The shoe is extremely durable, I have thrown them in the wash machine 3-4 times and they have held up. I am an extreme overpronator, so these shoes do not provide enough motion control for me, but if you need a good stability shoe with cushioning, this is it. I dont run regularly I confess, however I do have flat feet and wear orthotics and all of the asics in this series up work very well with my orthotics. Similar Products Used: asics 130, asic 140, asic 2030 |

These shoes are OK. I heard great things about Asic from other runners and triathlon magazines but was relatively dissappointed with the shoes. Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: Nike Air Triax |

Love these shoes. They are very comfortable and lite. I haven't been a runner for long, or at least I haven't enjoyed for long, but I do enjoy running in my asics. I tend to pronate a little, while these aren't specifically made to compensate pronation, they do give me plenty of support. Running in comfort is my main concern when chosing a shoe, but style definitely is a factor and I like the design of the asics line. I've owned a pair in the past and the only reason I'm moving to another pair is due to that fact that i've run out of sole on the old. These are built to last.
