To be perfectly honest, I can't imagine being more disappointed in a product. I ordered the treadmill in early April, and after many, many, many phone calls and emails to both the manufacturer and retailer, finally received it in mid July. I set it up, plugged it in, and it moved about six inches before coming to a halt. Spirit didn't want to deal with me directly - despite the fact they are the ones backing up the warranty - and the retailer was next to impossible to get on the phone. First, they sent a new motor, despite the fact that a test they asked me to run proved the motor was fine. Then they sent a new control board. As of today, August 5th, I'm still waiting for it to arrive. Maybe it'll work, maybe it won't. Spirit doesn't seem to know how their own treadmills work. In summary, it's pretty damn frustrating to spend $1200 for a brand new treadmill that has never, and may never, work at all. Do yourself a favor and buy anything other than a Spirit, even if it's a Wal-Mart special. For the price, you can buy three of the cheap ones, and they actually work!

Customer Service

Notice I didn't say anything about them sending a repair technician out to fix the treadmill? They expect you to fix it yourself. Fortunately, I'm an engineer, so I will be able to do it. But obviously some people will not be so mechanically inclined, and will be stuck with a very expensive clothes rack. I never thought I'd write such a scathing review of anything, but believe me when I tell you that this treadmill has been the worst product I have ever purchased in my life.
