Double Diamond
Strength:
NONE
Weakness:
Other then they cause your ski to fall off when they are not suspose to, there great:( Warning!!!These bindings are a danger to yoor health. The base plate will weaken and crack over time casing the toe peice to come loose when you least expect it!! (Either on the steeps or doing drops.) Also, I never found that they were very reliable in there release even before they weren't broke. Do Not buy them. |

Strength:
Selective Control, Good Release and Flex
Weakness:
Weight When installed correctly the bindings were very dependable and released properly. When installed by a do-it yourselfer the bindings were crap and would fall apart. Have them professionally mounted if you are not %100 sure of your abilities. I love the bindings and I have always loved Marker products. I plan on purchasing another pair for my new Volant Machete McG. The Selective control works great and allows you to really feel like you have full control over the ski in all conditions. |

Double Diamond
Strength:
Absolutely none until they corrected the mounting plate screw with a Plug which keeps the toe and heel pieces together and intact.
Weakness:
I was 10 minutes into skiing on them when the toe piece slid forward about 10mm. I am 8 years into serious nerve damage & severe pain. The early Marker M1-SC and SCR's Select Control are DANGEROUS. Marker knows of the design problem and corrected it in 1995. People re-mount these and they should have been RECALLED due to a well known recurring problem. Tell your friends please remove these from the skiing community. Similar Products Used: Look products, Solomon products and other Marker products. |
