I used the 914''s for the 00''01 season and I had no troubles, they never fell off unless I hit a really hard landing. I have the din setting at 12-13 and it would take a massive yard sale for them to fall off. I use them on a pair of 1080''s and its a great combination since I''m a heavier guy (around 230 Ibs) and when I come down from a 30 footer I don''t want the skis to fall off.
