Just rented a pair of these skis. The guy in the shop urged me to rent 170cms when I told him i usually ski 180cms. "Trust me," he said. So I rented them and skied all day on them. "Wow!" I said upon returning them. These things were amazing. They love medium to long fast turns and they are very, very stable! Their 75 mm waiste helps keep things in check at higher speeds. The ski conditions weren''t the best, but the Sceneo 2''s held on the ice and pounded through whatever crud I could find. These skis are super light and jumped and landed well! I can''t say enough about them. The package deal I saw at the shop was somewhere in the neighborhood of $450 with bindings. I say that''s a steal. I''ve skied Volkl Vertigos, Rossi Bandit XX''s, and Salomons this year and am convinced the Fischer Sceneos (the 3''s are supposed to be stiffer and have a smaller waiste) are equal to and in some cases better than the above-mentioned skis. If you''re a light-weight (I''m 153 lbs.) advancing intermediate skier who doesn''t mind putting confidence in your ability and equipment, I can''t imagine you not liking these skis. -Tim p.s. they also have a turned-up tail that makes it easy to have fun by spinning and skiing backward....i would imagine they would hold up (somewhat) in the terrain park. Customer Service I can''t say much about the customer service at Fischer, as I have yet to buy these skis (soon though). However, I would like to say that the guys at Out Spokin'', near Mt. Sunapee, NH, are great! T Similar Products Used: Rossi Bandit XX, Volkl Vertigo Motion, Salomon XScream. |
