Just skied my first day on Rossinol RPM Expulsion 17. I have not skied on to many shaped skies, I tried some while heli sking in canada. That was in waist deep and I have no idea what they were. So this was my first real day off 205 Dynimics.

I go a pair of these off ebay for under £10. The idea being that i leave them at my folks in france and just abuse them. I have just spent the last 3 days on them and can not believe the control they give. I have paid good money to rent ski's that dont come close to these. The bindings have a degree of flex that really help you load up in the turns. I ski pretty hard and not exactly textbook but these ski's have forgiven me time after time. They do not like moguls! But neither do i.... I tried a run yesterday and my legs have almost stopped throbbing, was something i wont be doing too often.

Wow! This ski's fun factor is off the charts! Tried it for the first time at Snowbowl in Missoula, MT on 1/10/04. Felt a little squirrely at first since I'm new to the shaped ski scene but once I got forward and aggressive, they performed like rockets. Although it prefers medium radius, high speed turns, short turns were not a problem. Floated on top of old powder in the trees. The only situation they didn't like was big moguls--but that's not what I bought 'em for anyway. If you're thinking of buying the Rossignol Bandit, consider this ski. It's advertised as the "Bandit on Steroids" and I would not argue that. The graphics are a little bit ugly and maybe that's why they didn't sell. I don't care what a ski looks like, just how it performs. Similar Products Used: Salomon X Scream--did not like this ski. K2 Merlin--didn't like this one either. |

Great skis. Tried it on hard (I mean it)packed snow, softer packed. The skis just grip to the snow, no matter what. If you feel the ski and do things right you almost feel like being railroaded. Tried the RPM in tight turns at slower speeds, at higher speeds in longer turns. It always felt like 100% control, particularly in longer turns. One of the best skis I have ever tied. |
