Weakness:

Fair to good on ice. Edge grip is good, but soft flex limits high speed carving. Fair (at best) in bumps.

Excellent ski for powder, crud and going big. Very good for packed, hard pack and corn. Surprisingly agile in the trees and chutes.

Strength:

WOOD CORE stable, faster edge to edge transitions than wider skis, yet carves like crazy, wide enough, but not too wide to make quick turns in the trees. wood core handles the crud and brings a more cushion when slamming into bumps, notice the 1080 mogul also has a wood core as opposed to the 1080s foam core which blows in the bumps. In my opinion k2 perfected the tip/waist/tail dimensions for this ski. great stability for big air as well, not just a park ski

Weakness:

the first pair I owned began to delaminate, however after over 100 days this season and going huger than I ever have before the new pair is showing no signs of delam. a skinnier ski wood suit a bump specialist better(no-brainer)

Truly an all-mountain ski, takes crud and speed much better than a 1080, fairly wide tip and waist is good for powder, narrower tail is sweet for short swing mogul turns or a last minute adjustment or speed check before a take-off. If your going to buy one ski for bumps, trees, park, pipe, big mountain, cruisers, this is a great choice.

Strength:

Really versatile in all terrain and most conditions, float is huge and they blast any form of loose snow. Surprisingly fast on groomed trails. Stability, and ability to carve for such wide skis is excellent. Suits heavy skiers although they appear soft.

Weakness:

OK through bumps but not strong, hard pack and ice is skiable but not pleasant - but its not a racing ski.

Great skis in the powder and crud, remarkable in their dexterity and stability. On hard pack with ice you have to work hard to stop chatter but good in long and short turns - they handle well and the joy of twin tips even in powder when you can't see them comes through well.

Similar Products Used:

Bandits, other K2's, Salomon, Atomic - good variety of wide and not so wide carvers.
